Timeline & Important Dates:

1995 -----> Dan chooses his first victim to molest: a 10-year-old boy. He later pleaded guilty to committing an indecent act with intent to offend or insult against this victim.
1997 - 2001 -----> Dan finds another victim: a 6-year-old boy whom he continued to victimize for the entire 4 year period. He later pleaded guilty to touching the boy for a sexual purpose and inviting the boy to sexually touch him.
2003 -----> Dan finds and sexually assaults his third victim. He later pleads guilty to sexual assault and assault causing bodily harm against this boy.
2003 -----> Dan is arrested for the sexual assault on his third victim. He is in jail for only days when the other victims come forward. After spending a couple of weeks in jail, Magda is released on bail (under the supervision of a surety).
2003 - 2006 -----> Magda attends court several times for his preliminary hearing and other adjournments but remains out on bail.
October 2006 -----> Magda pleads guilty to several charges involving the 3 boys. His matter is adjourned for sentencing to January 12, 2007. *It should be noted that the Crown entered into a plea bargain with Magda, therefore several charges, including (but not limited to) anal intercourse, were dropped.
January 2007 -----> Magda's matter is adjourned to March 2 for sentencing at the request of the defence.
March 2007 -----> Magda's matter is adjourned again to June 28 for sentencing after a tragedy in Magda's family.
June 27, 2007-----> The matter is put over to August 30 for sentencing as requested by the Crown.
August 30, 2007-----> Magda is sentenced to 2 years less a day plus 3 years probation and sent to Maplehurst Correctional Complex in Milton. Click HERE for more information.
September 17, 2007 -----> Magda is shipped to O.C.I. (Ontario Correctional Institute) in Brampton, a treatment center for sex offenders. NOTE: Any inmate who is being treated in OCI is expected to serve their entire sentence. If an inmate applies for parole while in OCI, he is returned to the jail that he came from, and his chances of getting parole after being kicked out of a treatment center are slim to none.
November 18, 2007 -----> Magda is transfered from O.C.I. to Central North Correctional Center (CNCC) because he is not a candidate for treatment at O.C.I.
November 2007 -----> Magda schedules his first parole hearing for April 22, 2008.
April 22, 2008 -----> Magda's parole hearing is held at CNCC. Magda is granted full parole. See parole hearing notes HERE.
December 30, 2008 -----> MAGDA'S STATUTORY RELEASE DATE (2/3 of Magda's 24 month sentence) *Does not apply because Magda was released on parole and must complete his entire sentence on parole
August 28, 2009 -----> End of Magda's parole (warrant release date) and beginning of his 3 year probation term.
